These images show leisurely scenes in Cojímar, which was a picturesque coastal town in the Havana Province of Cuba.
Taken around 1950, the photographs feature the same young women enjoying the sun and sounds by the sea.
I’ve never visited the breezy tropical beaches of Havana, but I can imagine that feeling of bliss you see in her smiles.
The woman is my mother, looking so happy and in love during her newlywed years.
