Story Behind the Art
Señor Cabañas was the first to officially register a cigar business in Cuba - in 1797. He later partnered with Señor Carvajal, and the company grew quickly into the 1800s to serve an international market, primarily London.
The art of the Cabañas y Carvajal label reflects the prestige of this Cuban cigar brand. It displays a total of 28 beautifully drawn gold medals, awards won at expositions across Europe and America.
At the center — in oranges, yellows, and blues — the design features two woman in Roman dress, a coat of arms and the brand’s ornate logo medallion.
