A bold design in high contrasts, this vintage 1920s art displays a white row boat in a sea of blue with golden text above.

Story Behind the Art

This is a romantic scene on a wam summer night. Two lovers drifting under the moonlight in the waters of Old Havana.

They’re probably just off the docks of a Havana country club. It could be the new Havana-Biltmore or the well-established Havana Yacht Club, known to the local elites as El Club Náutico de La Habana.

But the young couple hardly cares where they came from, as long as they’re in each others arms.

Notice the artist details in the striped pillow or the plaid blanket that’s ready to keep them warm.
