Story Behind the Art
La Carolina was a celebrated cigar brand established in 1870s Cuba that endured into the early 1900s.
The design for this label features a charming portrait of a woman, in her elegant pearls and fashion, framed by flowering plants in greens, pinks and blues.
And displayed on either side are beautifully drawn gold medallions, representing the international exposition awards won by this cigar manufacturer through the years.

Preserved from a rare, early 20th-century guide, the art's high resolution retains the mechanical halftone effect and rich details of the original turn-of-the-century press work.
