Story Behind the Image
Taken from within the central patio of a Spanish Colonial monastery, this vintage Cuba photograph captured a shaded interior filled with tropical plants and flowers.
The image also framed the arched opening and gate leading to a smaller patio that appears bright with sunlight.
Lovely accents seen in the architecture, wrought iron bench and marble floors are highlighted by the reflected light and shadows.
