This image offers an enchanting view — in sepia tones — through a tropical garden to a “finca”, or country estate. Layers of sun lights and shadows form along the dusty avenue, an extended path canopied by two rows of magnificent royal palms.
The words “Dreams of Cuba” appear on the image, a wistful phrase inspiring the imagination.
The detail in this striking old photograph created an image to be treasured. It’s a visual souvenir of the raw island beauty that once existed just outside of Havana in early years of 20th century.
